Kassiopi Harbour

Kassiopi is a fishing village on the affluent northeast coast of Corfu. It is in the municipal unit of Kassopaia. Historically a small traditional fishing village, its surroundings have largely been developed with luxury villas. Kassiopi remains a summer social centre heavily visited by tourists,. Lawrence and Gerald Durrell both brought this magical Greek island to the world’s attention through their writing. Taverna Agni

Corfu Town

Corfu Town is the capital. It’s known for its cobblestone streets and pastel-colored Venetian architecture. To the west, the Venetian-built New Fortress has a network of tunnels underneath and views over the harbour. The 15th-century Old Fortress overlooks the town from the east and features a small chapel and mosaics. There are wonderful cafes, shops restaurants and bars. Definitely worth a visit!

Villa Mon Repos

The villa was built as a summer residence for the British Lord High Commissioner of the United States of the Ionian Islands, Frederick Adam, but they shortly had to vacate in 1832. The villa was rarely used as a residence for later British governors. In 1833, it housed a school of fine arts, while in 1834, the park was opened to the public.
Several royal births have taken place at the villa, including those of Princess Sophie of Greece and Denmark on 26 June 1914, It was the birthplace of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Alexia of Greece and Denmark. Prince Philip was born on the dining room table.
