The MARBLE ISLE

Dive into the unique ambience of Paros – an island awash with glittering bays, adrenaline-fueled watersports and a vibrant nightlife that attracts young Greeks each summer. Away from the bars and restaurants, you’ll also find rolling terrain, ancient marble mines and beautiful beaches, from where you can take a short boat ride over to Antiparos, just one nautical mile away. Paros holds a special place in our hearts as one of the most welcoming destinations in the Cyclades.

Beaches and Beach Bars

Paros is ringed by beaches – loud ones, remote ones and those characterised by tavernas or water sports. The locals are especially fond of the unnamed beaches between Kolymbithresm with its wind-sculpted rock, and Monastiri.

Beach bars in Paros have become quite popular over the recent years. Santa Maria which is on the north-east coast of the island, features some of the most popular beach bars, along with Punda beach. Right on the powdery sand, a few steps away from the crystal sea. They offer food and drinks, comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas. Party here starts during midday and usually carries on until the sun goes down…

Boat trips

The ports at Parikia, Naoussa and Aliki are springboards for ferry crossings to the island of Antiparos next to Paros, but also single-day yacht trips around the uninhabited archipelago in between the two. On a private or semi-private cruise you’ll stop at islands like Panteronisi to swim or snorkel (gear is usually provided) in the light blue water of the “Blue Lagoon”, set foot on deserted beaches and paddle into sea caves. Food and drinks are offered (souvlaki, grilled sardines, tzatziki), and you can also book a romantic dinner cruise to watch the sunset from the water to the west of Paros.
